Looking back at the fiscal year 2014/15, the ICD story is one of value and how we can continue to address current and future needs of our director community. This report presents updates and performance measures for our strategic priorities in the second year of our 2014-2016 Strategic Plan.
For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, ICD:
  • Grew its membership base to 10,112 members;
  • Had 479 graduates from the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program (DEP), growing the total course alumni to 3,865;
  • Awarded 352 ICD.D designations to DEP graduates, increasing the total number of designation holders to 2,961;
  • Helped facilitate the placement of 91 directors on boards through the ICD Directors Register;
  • Took strong positions on the problems of short termism, the need for board renewal and takeover bids reform through ongoing advocacy and thought leadership initiatives;  
  • Assumed an active role in the launch of the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI) Global Passport and issuing the GNDI perspectives paper, Guiding Principles of Good Governance.
