Matthew Fortier appointed Vice-President, Policy at the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD)

Stan Magidson, LL.M, ICD.D, President & CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Fortier as Vice-President, Policy, effective December 16, 2013.

His experience will most certainly add value to our organization,” says Magidson. “The creation of this new role reflects the importance of advocacy and thought leadership in supporting the ICD’s long-term strategic goal to solidify its position as the recognized voice of directors in Canada.”
 
Mr. Fortier will be responsible for shaping and advancing the ICD’s advocacy agenda, including policy work on current and emerging governance issues that impact the role of Canadian directors and boards.
 
A bilingual public affairs and policy executive, Mr. Fortier has extensive experience in setting policy and guiding organizations through public affairs issues. He previously managed public policy and government relations at TD Securities, TD Bank Group, the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and British American Business Inc.
