Jun 01, 2009

The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) recently struck a partnership that will serve to strengthen board performance by connecting qualified and educated directors with Canada's public companies.

This unique collaboration offers all TSX and TSX Venture Exchange issuers the opportunity to conduct specialized searches through the ICD Directors Register, a national database of highly-skilled professionals who are qualified, available and prepared to serve on boards.

Both the ICD and the TSX are committed to good corporate governance and believe that educated and effective directors play a crucial role in achieving excellence in the boardroom and throughout the organization.

Through personalized customer service, the ICD Directors Register assists companies in refining their search process to identify only the best candidates for their boards. Search criteria may include breadth of experience, sector experience, specialized skills and knowledge, and diversity.
