With the health and safety of our participants, faculty and staff remaining the ICD’s top priority, the Board Dynamics for Executives (BDE) program will be delivered digitally this Fall.


Jointly developed by the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, BDE offers a fresh perspective on optimizing management-board effectiveness. This program is specifically for executives who are increasingly engaged in working directly with their board of directors.

Working closely with our expert faculty, this program has been transitioned to an online format designed to optimize both the networking and learning benefits of our in-class delivery, while learning from the comfort of your own home with a schedule adapted to your current needs.

Through this virtual real-time experience, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of:

  • Management-board dynamics: clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of both management and the board
  • Optimizing interactions with board members: developing strategies to effectively communicate and inform both inside and outside of board meetings
  • Improving organizational decision-making: learning how to bridge the information gap between management and the board

The program fee for BDE is:

ICD Members: $5,500 plus applicable taxes
Non-Members: $5,895 plus applicable taxes*

*Non-Members who enroll in BDE will receive a one-year ICD membership (value of $395).
