Chart the Future - Insight and Discussion on the Future of Governance
Please join us for a morning breakfast session where are our panel will provide their insight into the key messages coming from the joint ICD/TMX Group report “Charting the Future of Canadian Governance: A Principled Approach to Navigating Rising Expectations for Board of Directors”. This Report is the product of more than two years of work and critical evaluation by a diverse 13-member Committee that included leading corporate directors and governance experts from across Canada.
Our panel includes two members of the Committee – Rahul Bhardwaj, CEO of ICD in Canada and Indira Samarasekera, senior advisor to Bennett Jones and an experienced corporate director. Rahul and Indira will provide their insight into the Committee’s recommendations and the many discussions and debates that took place prior to the key recommendations coming from the Report.
Joining Rahul and Indira will be Christie Stephenson, Executive Director, Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics at UBC and experienced Board director who will provide a non-Committee member view of the Report and its recommendations.
Finally, the session will be moderated by John Desjardins, BC Chapter Chair.
The session will be focused on our BC membership and include insight for both corporate for profit board members but also for not-for-profit board members.

Cancellations must be received in writing 48 hrs prior to the date of the event to be eligible for a full refund.
If you register for an event and do not attend, you are liable for the full event fee. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to someone else. However, please note that should your replacement have a different membership status and there is a price differential, you will be either credited or charged the balance.
