Governance 201 in Today’s World – Is the Line Shifting?

The pace of change over the past few years has been staggering. The pandemic, geopolitical issues, inflationary pressures, and climate change are just a few challenges that present many implications for governance.

Directors across all sectors are experiencing challenges in navigating this rapidly evolving environment. There is a growing expectation on the part of funders, regulators, investors, and others for boards to have stronger oversight of their organizations, which means that the complexity of a director’s role is increasing. Does this mean the “line” between governance and operations is shifting?

Join us in this engaging presentation as we explore:
  • What does this evolving governance environment mean for all organizations, and particularly not-for-profits and private companies?
  • What implications does this have for the fundamentals of governance and the role of a director?
  • How it can be hard to define “the line” in this turbulent environment and some practices for elevating directors’ contributions with this in mind.
