Directors need informed foresight to help the organizations they serve to navigate multiple trends. The trends affecting most sectors are not always apparent or easy to detect in the short term, but their impact may be significant and long-term. How will changing demographics affect workforces? What will shifts in inflation and interest rates mean for the financial health and sustainability of organizations? Where will technology impact productivity and changing operations? How can boards make sense with all this change and volatility?

We are launching our calendar of events with a Canadian who has spent most of his career monitoring and interpreting evidence to inform the organizations he has worked for. Stephen Poloz will share insights gained while with the Bank of Canada, Export Development Canada, BCA Research and the IMF, as well as his current role as a director with Enbridge and an advisor with Oslers. He will speak on matters that all organizations must be aware of and that directors should be considering in their regular deliberations in the boardroom.
