Productivity - Insight and Discussion on Implications of Canada's productivity challenge for Directors

Please join us for a morning breakfast session where are our panel will provide their insight into the productivity challenge for Canada and for the Canadian business sector.

We will explore where the Canadian business sector currently ranks compared to business sectors in other countries, the root causes of the productivity challenge, what can be done to improve our standing, the impact of artificial intelligence and what directors need to know to hold management accountable for productivity.

Our panel includes– Jock Finlayson, current chief economist at Independent Contractors and Business Association, former Chief Policy Officer at the Business Council of B.C. and director or former director of various public and private enterprises, Tracey McVicar, Partner at CAI Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity firm and director or former director of various public and private enterprises and Joy MacPhail, former B.C. Provincial MLA and B.C. Minister of Finance and director or former director of various public and private enterprises including B.C. Ferries.

Finally, the session will be moderated by Robert (Bob) McFarlane, BC Chapter Chair Vice Chair, former Chief Financial Officer at Telus and a director of various public and private enterprises. The session will be focused on our BC membership and include insight for both corporate for-profit board members but also for not-for-profit board members.
