Directors' Dilemma - Case Study: Riverdale Community Services

Join us for an engaging, interactive case study where we will explore the evolving challenges of a Board as it works to refine and advance its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy. This session will provide participants with an opportunity to delve deeply into the complexities of integrating EDI principles into organizational structures, leadership, and culture.

The high-level themes of this Directors’ Dilemma will include:

• The Changing Nature of EDI Requirements

• Maintaining Board Diversity and Inclusion Over Time

• The Advantages and Disadvantages of Staff Bringing Issues to the Chair in Confidence

Robin Cardozo, an experienced Board member and workshop leader, will guide participants through the case study, focusing on how a community service organization works to become a leader in EDI. Through small group discussions, participants will examine the key issues that this organization must consider as they work to adopt a more inclusive work culture.
