General
The primary audience for the Conference is the Canadian board director.
Registration
To receive the member rate, you must be a member in good standing. Please contact membership@icd.ca to renew your membership prior to registering for the 2024 ICD National Director Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala.
Yes, both members and non-members can register.
Group tickets rates to the ICD National Director Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala are not offered at this time.
A table of 10 seats at the Fellowship Awards Gala can be purchased. To purchase a table at the Fellowship Awards Gala, please contact conference@icd.ca.
Yes, to register multiple people, ensure that they have an ICD account and search for their name under “Register Someone Else”.
If you cannot find them in the registry, please contact membership@icd.ca.
For any issues with group registrations, please contact conference@icd.ca with the attendees’ contact information.
We strongly recommend that you register in advance of the Conference due to limited capacity.
In-person Conference and Gala registration cancellations must be received in writing via email no later than Friday May 17th, 2024. Cancellations received by this date will be eligible for full refund, less a $100.00 administration fee.
Cancellations received after Friday May 17th, 2024, are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend in-person, delegate substitution is permitted up to Friday May 24th, 2024. Please email conference@icd.ca with the replacement contact information.
Unfortunately, the Fellowship Awards Gala registration fee is non-refundable.
If you require accommodations (e.g., sign language interpreters, alternative formats, wheelchair access, dietary requirements), you may share this information on the conference registration page or please contact conference@icd.ca.
Media and Communication
Photographs may be taken at this event and published in various media, including print and online, without further notice. If you have questions about the use of event photographs by the ICD, please contact rstrang@icd.ca.
The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), its partners, and event attendees may also post discussions and pictures on various social media channels. We encourage event participants to engage in discussions via LinkedIn (@Institute of Corporate Directors) and to include the hashtag #ICDConference2024.
The ICD also regularly hosts events under a modified Chatham House Rule – that is, contributions may be published but are not to be attributed to any individual speaker. Invitations to such events will explicitly state that the event operates under such restrictions.

Conference and Gala Programming
Seating is not assigned for the 2024 ICD National Director Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala.
Seating is only assigned at the Fellowship Awards Gala. Seating maps and assignment lists will be posted throughout the National Conference and at the registration desk for the Fellowship Awards Gala.
Please email conference@icd.ca with any special table requests by Friday May 24th, 2024. We will do our best to accommodate requests, however, only purchased gala tables or sponsor tables have guaranteed seating arrangement.
ICD has a suggested dress code of business attire for the 2024 ICD National Director Conference and cocktail attire for the Fellowship Awards Gala. Delegates are welcome to wear what is most comfortable.

The Conference will be in-person as an outcome of feedback received on post-conference surveys. Sessions are not intended to be recorded.
We are asking attendees to indicate their preference for breakout sessions in advance so that we can appropriately set up each room. Additional information and instructions to indicate which breakout sessions you are interested in attending will be sent approximately one month before the Conference
CEUs
Yes, you can earn up to 10 CEUs. Directors with the ICD.D designation are eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) for attending the following:
- National Director Conference (8 CEUs)
- Fellowship Awards Gala (2 CEUs).
The ICD National Director Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala may be eligible for CE credits with other professional designation bodies. We encourage you to check with the organizations you are affiliated with.

Travel and Accommodation
Attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation bookings. The ICD guest room rate is $319.00 plus taxes and fees and is available until Friday, May 10, 2024 or until the group room block has sold out. Click here to book your accommodations directly with the hotel.
Reservations can be modified with the hotel using your registration confirmation number.
